In this still life study, I brought together a few familiar objects—antique medicine bottles and fresh fruit. Both are symbols of care and wellness, and together they created a composition that felt both playful and thoughtful.
The bottles are empty now, which gave rise to the title: Took My Medicine. It’s a quiet nod to the little things we do to take care of ourselves, whether it’s a remedy from the past or something as simple and nourishing as a piece of fruit.
This piece is about finding beauty—and maybe a little humor—in the everyday.
